Motocross Crash...

Well I screwed up yesterday.

Went to the track to get a nice workout. I was first out on the track, and I almost made one complete lap when I lost my head and went for some big air in the big tabletop jump. The bike and I went flying straight up in the air. And what goes up must come down.

And down I came. Hard. At first I couldn't even move. Some people came running up to me and asked if I was alright. After a while I could stand up and rode the bike (my dad's bike. guess if he was happy about that. heh )

I sat in the pits for a while and realized I had much trouble breathing alright, so I called my parents and they came and picked me up. My dad took the bike with him home and my mom got me to the hospital.

The examined me and found I had no fractures in my ribs, but I got x-rayed just in case. They found nothing and I got to go home.

I'm still aching, and cursing myself for giving it all on the first lap, but I'll be alright, and I've learned my lesson. Heheh. But I ain't stopping. I'd rather die out there or on stage than wither away in some home.

Glad to hear it didn't slow you down Agent_Embryo!

I went to a new track a few days ago but didn't have any problems. It was a great time. We drove a school bus there! LOL

My friend bought a school bus, removed most of the seats, added a table, and enlarged the rear door. Now we can pack tons of bikes in the back (or up to 6 quads) and still have seating room for all. We Makes the 2hr+ driving trips so much more fun when we can play cards.

I went for big air once on my RM 125 off a table top.

Note for me big air was around 6 to 8 '. I jumped and kicked it a little too much flying through the air with the wheels over me I decided that the best course of action was to eject. I kicked off the bike and tried to land on my feet. while I came sailing down with my arms flapping to get my feet under me I braced for impact. well that is alot to do in 6 to 8 foot. the impact came in an unexpected way. No it was not my feet that made contact first it was my butt. I stopped on the second bounce and watched the 1800$ dirtbike bounce end over end. I Sat for a moment and wiggled my toes and fingers and was ultimately ok with the exception of a new tattoo on my butt. a perfect impression of levis fabric pattern embossed in a 4 inch circle on my butt. I limped to the bike and straighten the chain guide and went about the 3 mile ride home along the rail line... I dont know how you real motorcrossers do it. I now try to keep the jumps in 3 to five foot range.

Update: Well a doctor called and said they have found an air-pocket where there shouldn't be one in my X-rays. But it's nothing dangerous, they're gonna do another X-ray next week to have a better look.

BTW: My doctor from yesterday was a rather young girl (not more than 26 at least), and very cute too. What do doctors make? I wonder if she's single...

Hmmm
Well sounds like you get one more crack at the doc
If not then... get into another "accident" again... less painful though eh? lol
