Anybody know how the
LAKERS got their name ?
They came from Minniapolis, Minnasota--the
Land O' Lakes
That's right--from Lakes to the desert. And didn't change their name to the
TUMBLEWEEDS .
Yeah, sure the LAKERS could beat the NETS--The LAKERS of Wilt Chamberlain, jerry West, and Elgin Baylor !
Wilt never fouled out in a game. Anybody else have a 100 point game ?
Jerry was the master of drawing fouls---and broken noses--and never missed from the foul line (well, almost). Arms four feet long.
Baylor-- shot a lousy 69 tops, sure, but never saw him not wrapped up like a mummy --yet still drew three defenders.
Yeah, THOSE "Lakers" could beat the NETS.
But let's not historically reminisce...
