Microsoft Knowledge Base????

Anyone else have this problem? I have a computer error, I go to the maker of windows, the people that built the OS, the genius minds behind this wonderful thing called the PC. I type my keywords in the search box, click search, takes me to another page, with tons of search options, read and click accordingly, and search...........search...........search..No document found in the knowledge base. WHAT!!
This isn't one time, this is everytime. And if it does yield a result, it's not even relevant to my problem. With minds like these at work it's a wonder that windoze does.
Anyway, I just wondered if anyone else has this problem?
Google it, TIMO it,always find the answer

Microsoft Knowledge Base can be your best friend. You just have to learn how to phrase the question right...

What were you looking for?

The best way to search the MSKB is to use Google, but restrict your search results to the Microsoft website by adding "site:microsoft.com" to the end of your search criteria.

Like this ---> Shutdown problem site:microsoft.com

BTW, this works for all sites Shutdown problem site:techimo.com

I agree with fingers... their search is pretty useless I'm with you BC all I get from their search is either irrelevant or non existent.
With google I usually find what I need

Thanks Fingers, didn't know about that site:sitename.com trick

Maybe these will help:

Windows 2000 Keywords for Searching the Microsoft Knowledge Base (Q250581)

Obtaining the Best Search Results

Product Support Center-FAQs

Search Wizard

At the bottom of every Q article are additional keywords and query words that may help.

Google is the best to search - that's where I usually start, and thanks for that little trick there, Fingers - very
