At Home Site Critique...

This is a site I've just designed, and would like your opinions on it.

Oh yeah - I already know that it will load slowly, so just bear with me on that aspect.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated!

- Brandon

Loaded very fast.
Color combination is not appealing. Too many dark colors. I'd suggest using some pastel shades for balance.

"We defininately look forward to an absolutely awesome season, and hope that you'll come to us first for all of your Big Brother news and info!"

Spelling on the second word??

I'd also improve the language- delivering is used twice in the same sentence.

"This site is provided free to anyone who like to use it, and we are dedicated to bringing you the latest, via many methods."

Garmmar - anyone who like to use it....

"Seperate" - spelling.

" It has been confirmed that the show will air on a Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday basis, which is only slightly different from the Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday basis that we saw for Big Brother 2. Thursday will be a live episode"

,,,Saturday basis... poor grammar

"Big Brother 3 Executive Producer Arnold Shapiro says that there the Big Brother 3 contestants will have to face a much less ..."

....says that there the .... grammar??

Fonts are dull. No pizazz.

Otherwise excellent.

First complaint I had on colors... Does anyone else not like them?

Suggestions? You can't use exotic fonts on a site, because you can bet that most people who view the site won't have that font. Thus resulting in a sub-par viewing experience.

I don't mean fancy/cursive fonts. But pleasant/professional ones which are easy to read and common. For example, Times New Roman looks better than arial/san serif type of fonts. I will dig up some tomorrow and send you if you want.

I'd also be more than happy to help with sentence structure and grammar if you'd like. I think you have done a wonderful job overall and just some sharp corners need tweaking. But then that is my opinion.

In my experience, fonts like Tahoma or Verdana (Verdana is what TechIMO uses, btw) seem to be more common and more approachable. That's my opinion.

lol... It's being hosted off my tiny private DSL connection with 128kbps upload. So, whatever you say.

Thanks, btw.. I'm glad it looks good!

The site looks pretty good, I don't have a complaint about colors.. I am on 56K right now, and the site seemed to load pretty fast.
