Any TOM WAITS Aficionados Out There ?

Tom Waits is releasing not one but two albums May 7th [as in three weeks ago]:
ALICE ....&......BLOOD MONEY

Recently re-watched Coppola's Bram Stokers Dracula on DVD and there was Tom Waits as Mr. Renfield, the fly-loving madman in Carfield Abbey Asylum.Good acting. Film was much better the second time around.

Tom Waits eh?
I admit I've only heard a few of his songs... but to me he always sounds like a drunken bar piano player
I got a friend that just loves his work... of course .. he loves Bob Dylan too
Not my style *shrug*

Tom Waits is one of the best and most original artists that ever rolled down the pike...I LOVE his stuff...although I wish he'd stop telling everybody that we're related.
Heck, we only see each other at various Bar Mitzvahs.

I can't wait till "Big Time" is remastered for DVD (if it ever happens), or maybe a good new production is released on film.

Posted this because GF told me he was cool and I liked the concept of widely-spaced albums and multi-arts.

Do even recall hearing him myself.

But noticed his acting in Bram Stoker's Dracula .

Yes! "Small Change" is one of my all time favourite records.

I got a bad liver and a broken heart,
you see, I drank me a river, since you tore me apart.

I don't have a drinking problem, 'cept when I can't get a drink.

Wonderful stuff.... R.

Nope, no drooling...he always has an attractive nurse helping out. As far as the flies? No, he prefers the cuisine at any coffee shop that has a bowling alley attached. Waits is fond of ordering a "filet o' tuberculosis." It's disgusting.

Still, a wonderful artist; esp. for those keen on reliving their "old" lives, before they cleaned up and learned to walk upright.
