Teeth:Is this normal?

Last tuesday i went to the dentist and they removed a tooth
it's saturday now and it really hurts in the 3 teeth next to the "hole"
they also feel loose.I cant eat, drink or brush without extreme pain
and im thinking that something must be wrong

is it supposed to be like this after they remove a tooth ?

Sounds like you might have a "dry socket". If I recall correctly, this happens when the blod clot that is supposed to form gets knocked out, leaving an exposed nerve.

If it keeps up, I'd go back to the dentist....I've heard dry sockets become extrememly painful fast.

The socket itself does not hurt at all.The pain is only in the teeth next to it,They told me that i had a tooth above the one they extracted that needs to come out, could the pain i feel be because of this ?

Teeth can ache for all different reasons.

When you say a tooth above the one now gone needs to come out, do you mean one next to it or is there one in the gap ready to come through?

Are you having a crown/cap put in the gap once it has healed?

Whatever is the case I would certainly go back to your dentist and explain your concerns.

There is a fully grown tooth above the gap that simply needs to go through the skin and fall into place so they wont put a fake tooth in it.

I have a apointment with the dentist on monday morning
i'm going to try and find out if they can remove this ingrown tooth
and give me a fake tooth instead.

I think the dentist will probably want to wait until the new tooth has come through successfully until a decision can be made on whether a crown could be put in. It may well be that the tooth will grow OK and there will be no need for a crown. X-rays will be taken to see how the tooth is progressing.

Try and last out until Monday! Easier said than done!

Best of luck anyway.

I would call the dentist 4 sure. In fact the Emergency Room will even give you something for the pain if it hurts that bad. OUCH!
