The NSRA that is. This is the 29th annual National Street Rod Association show. It is being held about 2 blocks from my house. Over 5 thousand street rodders decend on York Pa every year.
It is the largest show on the east coast.

This is a very cool event. The cars are awesome, the only problem is the kids around here who
THINK they can take one of the rodders in a race. I mean come on now you got a kid who has a little 6 cyl. car and maybe some tweaks to it against someone who has an 8 cylinder with a blower sticking out of the hood ( if there is one) and nitrious.
These kids give the whole event a bad wrap since they are the ones out showing off by squeeling their tires and raising all kinds of H3!!. The street rodders just cruise around the town minding their own busineess. Yet they are the ones that are looked down on. Go Figure.

I heard about this one on the news, and I saw several hotrods on the Turnpike today heading toward York.

Sorry Mortis I doubt I will go over to see them. I see the same ones every year. Although I might go out to Rt 30 and watch them cruise since they can't do it in town on the circut anymore.

If I do i will take the camera along though.

They are every where right now. I bet you can't go a minute with out seeing one.

You should come down and check it out Fingers it is only a hop skip and a jump for ya. Just watch out for the traffic it is unreal. Backed up from one light to the next on Rt 30 and Rt 74.

They killed the Downtown Circuit? Or- just when the Rods are in town? I remember Light Dragging the Rods as a Kid with my 78 Z28- ChildHood memories .

Ahh the memories of the circuit. Getting arrested at 15 Did I say that out loud Stumbling around the square all drunk and ... well you know.

They are really cracking down on things in town. Trying to clean it up. With the York City Police, Yeah right.
