Well its New Zealand Music month over here in New Zealand, and Since I love New Zealand music sooo much at the moment (and that kosheen album) I am going to inform you of some of my favourite NZ music groups worthy of a listen.
First on the Agenda we have Pacifier - who use to be known as Shihad, but they changed their name as it sounded too similar to something else and are hopping to make it big in the US. Pacifier/ Shihad have been around for a while now (about 10 years) and are from Wellington, NZ (yep me too). Their genre would be rock/ alternative.Pacifier are definatley worth checking out if you are or aren't a fan of that genre.

Next I would like to tell you about Salmonella Dub who have also been around for a little while now too. Salmonella are a live elctronica/ dub band and play a mixture of drum and bass, dub, reggae and triphop. Check out there website and preview tracks at

Shapeshifter a Christchurch, NZ based Drum and Bass live band, thats right you heard me correctly - Drum and Bass made with instruments and not just some computer geek at his sequencer. Shapeshifter has a very fresh and unque sound as expected. I have been listening to Drum and Bass since it was first invented from Jungle and am a fan of many UK producers, but I would have to say that no one has made Drum and Bass like Shapeshifter has.

And Finally I would like to tell you about Rhian Sheehan, genre Downbeat/Chillout. Paradigm Shift, Rhian's only album words cant be written to say how good this is, sorry im stumped, you will just have to listen to it.
