Is Your Computer Oppressed?

Greetings Guys and Gals. Just got some questions for ya:

What is your computer doing when you are at Work?
What is your computer doing when you are sleeping?

How do you feel when you arent doing anything- I mean nothing... Just staring at a Wall? How do you like just sitting and being brain dead, for hours and hours and hours and hours?

Sounds pretty boring, doesnt it? If ya think about it, Our computers bring us endless hours of fun and enjoyment from Gaming to internet browsing to family and economical/business organization/growth/support. Wow- these guys (computers) sure do a lot for us and make our lives easier (yea- some nay sayers say more probs and cost- we are ingnoring them).

HOW do we repay them? Ha! By using them when we want and ignoring them when we dont need em. We dont consider their needs or what they want- do we? What is that a computer wants? Good Question... it wants to Crunch! It is made to process mathematical permutations and calculations; store and
exchange information- all leading to end results and production. If we deny the computer its function, we deny them their purpose and meaning. Wow, think about it- we are Oppressing our Machines!

I dont know about you guys, but I never thought about it this way. Sure, currently- Comps dont have consciousness. But what about when they do? Do we want to be held responsible for our past transgressions- legally, ethically or with conscience? Do we want to end up in a Computer Court or worse- the target of an Electrical Vendetta? I know I dont.

I have concluded that I want to give my Comp everything that it wants. Upon investigation and inquiry, I have concluded that My (and all comps) want their basic, fundamental and inalienable rights to Crunch met! I say, we stand behind them and "Do the Right Thing!" Let them Crunch! Let me hear you say it- LET THEM CRUNCH! Lets not be responsible any longer for holding down, back or denying them! LET THEM CRUNCH! Treat them as you would want to be treated! LET THEM CRUNCH! Lets meet their needs and support them as they do us! LET THEM CRUNCH!

How? How do we let them Crunch? How do we give meaning to their otherwise terminal limited mundane Lives? Two Words..... United Devices! Be part of the growing Collective Consciousness of DC'ers and FREE YOUR COMPUTERS!

just make sure you give them a little time off here and there or they will go on strike. crunching alone is not enough they do need variety.

Myself, to give them variety I allow them to crunch two different meals per day
ECCp-109, with a spice of UD Proteins on the side
My lappie is a proteinarian coughmostlycough.
ok Ok ... it sways from its diet of proteins occasionally
Munchin' some proteins is good stuff!
Betcha can't eat just one

LOL, that has to be one of the best sales pitch for volunteer work I have ever seen.

Nicely written Mortis!!!

No I don't feel guilty for not crunching yet. On a non-work purpose computer I just might get talked into crunching.

Mine never get time off here and there! They would think I forgot them! As for variety, mine crunch UD (my first passion) and Eccp... my passion's passion!
Now that's variety!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAH Mortis!!

We should make a DC recruiting poster with your post as the copy, and a graphic of a computer sitting all lonesome like on a desert plain...maybe with a tin cup (or a pile of M$ BOB disks)...

Poor thing...
