Well, I suppose I was due for it...

Today, Iwas working on the barrelled ceiling on the new house(12'), when the trusty old ladder decided to slip.

Needless to say, I have to go Tuesday to have surgery an my right arm and to have some pins and braces in it...

This sux, especially having to type with only my left hand

Not to mention the mouse.

Sorry to hear about your arm (and the ladder j/k)
I know how it is though you get used to a tool and never think twice about it failing.

Kind of the hard way to get a few days off though isn't it?? j/k

thx all

I also found out how hard it is to button my pants with one hand... maybe I autta wear jogging pants

xray showed that the smaller bone in my forearm shattered at the wrist..

Oh yeah, and a footbone also broke.... sux to be me right now

Ah man that sucks! I am sorry to learn you have hurt yourself. I just went through that a couple of months ago myself with my knee.

That sucks man

I bet it hurt like hell, too. When I slid down an icy hill and slammed into a tree, back first.....that killed, big time...never had pain that bad before.

Don't worry, man, luckly these things are only temporary...your arm wasn't crushed to uselessness, you're not paralyzed

With me, using my left hand for my mouse would be near impossible, it being a 1st gen. MS Intellimouse Explorer which is obviously for right handers only. Would have to plug in the 'ol MS Intellimous...errr whatever it's called, the first one that had a scroll wheel

They gave me hydrocodone, makes me loose my lunch They changed it to Vicodin that I have to pick up today.
They changed my surgery date to Friday. It needs 4 pins protruding through the skin, a brace, and a bone graft where my wrist sunk in. Besides that everything is fine.... although it will put the house off schedule ....
