I'm going to the beach!!!
In about 30 minutes, I'm leaving work for my little mini-vacation. To the beach!! I am so excited, I feel like I'm 8 years old.
I'm just so happy I'm leaving COLD Kentucky to go bask in the sun down south!
We are going to Ocean Springs, MS to stay with our friends.
So anyway, see you all on Tuesday!!

Our drive will be about 10-12 hours!
But that's ok... I enjoy being in the car with my husband

My ride to the beach is about 20 minutes!!!!!!

I can get to any one of these beaches inside of an hour (and many in between):
Fenwick Island, DE
Dewey Beach, DE (of Don & Mike (Radio Gods!) Dewey Beach House fame!)
Rehoboth Beach, DE
Ocean City, MD

I lived within 100 meters of the sea as a kid... & still live within a mile or so. Gotta love the sea breeze... would be weird living inland, although you could be in the middle of england & still be no more than a couple hours drive to the sea

Hope you have a nice time at the beach.

have fun.....When I lived in London, we used to go down to Brighton whenever we can. Now that I live in California, I just love it as I can just go down to Santa Cruz or Half Moon Bay or drive up to Tahoo for the weekend. I used to drive down to Half Moon Bay when I wanted to get away from college....go to class in the morning, have lunch and soak up the sun at the beach and then be back for classes. That was college life for me...heeheehee

What is with the use of english measurements system. I did not know you folks still knew about miles. Your about 2 Km from the sea. just kiddin!!!

What is the mean water temperature where you go to the beach.

It's a back@$$wards system.....they use metric but still use Imperial measurements at the same time

I live about 3h from a beach in Portsmouth, NH.....much better is down in Rhode Island....that's about 4h. We have lakes though, which are just as good, IMO because I can bring my dog AND there are no people
