Greetings. I just had an amusing phone call... I have ATTBI Cable and just received a phone solicitation call from Qwest DSL Internet. He went through his spiel before I had a chance to say NoThankYou. When I was able to speak, I said no thanks- I have cable. He proceeded to try to tell me how I dont get good speeds with cable 'cause it is shared, whereas with Qwest DSL I will receive 256 down or 512 down, depending on the plan I pick. I said thankyou, but no thankyou- I get much more speed with my current cable. He asked how I was sure of that and I said, "I periodically go to TestMySpeed.com and run the speed tests." He was silent for a minute, then quietly asked what that URL was again... I gave it to him and he told me that he was trying to personally decided between Cable and DSL in his area and was unable to conclusively decide which was faster. He asked how the site works, again quietly, and I explained it to him. He chuckled and told me that he has friends that have both, and even though he solicits for Qwest, they dont offer a discount, so he wants the most bang for his buck. He, quietly again, said he was going to test his friends (DSL and Cable) speed then make a decision. He laughed and said, ThankYou, have a nice day. LOL.
I wonder if I should try to get a commission off of this?
