Almost everyday brings a new alert, a warning, some normal event inspiring fear...

Boss CaaT more affected by it than I.

She worked near Ground Zero.

I don't believe in living in fear.

But people here ARE affected...in subtle ways.

I myself am more irritatable, maybe because of the effect on people around me.

Each nite, as an English wartime poet said, " ...drawing down of blinds" But I try to remember what an American writer once said while bed-ridden, "I will not let the sight of Medicine bottles block my sight of the Day."

The good news is that Fleet Week is coming to Town.

I remember when it was an American President who told us two decades ago to "drop dead".

We're still around.

The Fleet is in.

The Police boats are under the Brooklyn Bridge.

A $6 taxi ride cost $11 today due to traffic.

Security increased.

And New Yorkers have mixed feelings about being bombarded with constant warnings.

People try to disassociate themselves from all the bad news.

And Boss CaaT offered a job--away from Ground Zero.

And DooG DOOG is happy about that.

turns out to be a construction site. One person trapped. Staten Island (Borough of Richmond) is a (was a ) "suburban-like" boro--until bridge was built.

Wanted to succeed from NYC--than somebody figured out that property taxes would quadrouple without the hi-rises of Manhattan. Geographically, really part of NJ.
