I'm a newbie, but I've noticed a lot of members here have custom avatars in their posts.
How do I go about including one in my posts? I've got a perfectly good avatar design, but I haven't been able to figure out what the mechanism is to include it.
First you must have over 50 posts the avatar link in the user control panel will become active at 51. Postings in the community forum do not add to your post count.
Then you will be able to upload an avatar. The requirements are 64 x 64 pixels and not over 10 K. gif and jpeg are what is most commonly used.

50 posts? That seems pretty reasonable, one forum I looked at required 1000 posts to use a custom avatar. Once I qualify(however long that takes), how do I go about it? Or will the option automatically appear in User Profile at 50 posts?
I'm from El Paso, Texas. I've been doing computers for about 3 years, built my own last spring. A friend recommended your forum.
You'll find the link to post your avatar in your user cp (button at the top of every page) under edit options. You upload it from your computer to the site there. (its at the bottom of th edit options page)
