Tuckpointing, or Tuck Pointing, however you want to put it, is the fixing/replacing of the masonry bindings of brick and stone, and other related building materials.
The mortar that you put between the bricks, well, when it's gets old, it tends to turn to powder, in which much of the outter soft layer will need to be removed, then replaced. Of course, there are plenty of other situations a bit more complex in which the masonry would need restoring, but that's the basic concept.
Also did sandblasting, water blastings, water proofing, caulking, boom operations, hod carrying (that's just mixing and delivering the "mud", my very first position), landscaping (for proper drainage mostly)...just to name a few. I would return to the business simply because it pays better, but I have yet to run into a large and proper company (tuckpointing tends to have a lot of loosers running the company, with minimal operations, and lousy results...I only want on if they're big, bad, and on the rise), and I do so love computers...but I do miss working 100+ feet in the air. I was one of the few that enjoyed it.
