unless you have the fundage I would never recommend someone to quit their job without first finding a new job first..

My g/f quit her last job and is really struggling to make ends meet until she can find another job.. luckly she has parents who are willing to help her make it through school.

Um, Donelley usually pays out the nose for floor workers. Not to mention that if you're there a few months, and you apply to the graphics department, you get to work on some SWEET Mac machines doing layouts. They DO have an IT dept BTW.

Ever thought about starting your own biz?

Yes, excellent advice. $4 less per hour is still more than unemployment. Plus it makes a good impression during the interview when you give good reasons for leaving but haven't yet.

I wish you all the best in your search.

korgul...sorry, no moving expenses. Here's kind of an idea of what my job entails:

Answer e-mails concerning anything people want to write. Mostly it will concern something to do with a video, telephone or Internet question. Lately we answer about 20 to 30 questions a day.

Surf the Net.

I do some of the graphic art work around here (no snickering), so i do that work.

Surf the net.

The pay is pretty good. We get free digital cable (all the channels except for the pay per views). We get a discount on digital phone and Interent services ($20.00 including modem rental per month for high speed Internet)

It's really great.

Systems

I think you should look at how long you have with the company.
what are the benefits like
and why are they cutting your pay?
you could take it to the labor board.
if they have done this to you who else have they done this to?
is there anything in writing

if you had medical experiance i would suggest working week end option at the hospital or nursing home around here in pa near harrisburg and york they pay 16.00 to 24.00 an hour and work for 10 to 12 hrs day.
that would be 160.00 a day to 288.00 a day

it's just an option.

good luck to you

MK

geekgrrrrrrrrrrl,
Just a personal opinion.
Comes a time when enuff is.....

Did it meself in Feb this year.
Quit the "Dream Job"

Everyone says you cant do that...etc etc..
I say, nobody knows like yourself, when enuff is..

Take a step back.
Clear your head.
Have a look around.

You'll turn up a gem.
Still, you have to wash a bit of sand to do it.

Hating what you do each day, is a lousy way to make a living.

Best Wishes Rusty
