Check on connection settings (sorry I'm using Klient so can't remember exactly!). I'm in the techimo chat now..
OH and sorry for making new messages instead of editing.. my connection is REALLY sucking tonight so waiting for another page to open is a real pain!! lol

we used to schedule chats often on sysopt, with little success. People have their schedules - i mean, this is a worldwide forum, for some, the chat was at like 4 in the morning for them, while it was 8 at night for others.

i think more people chat now that they can do it all the time.

just my opinion - i mean, it was me who would schedule the chats, meh, it might work on techimo, i have no idea.

Can I use another IRC client to get into the TechIMO chat, or do I have to use the java client through the forum?

I ask because I might be able to use another IRC client if I can map the link successfully

I use klient, others use trillian. so no you are not stuck in java.
