Not to mention there is a high probability that first thing these people will do when they get amnesty is get on welfare I'm not as inhumane as I sound, really.. its just irritating that its easier to get here illegally than it is legally
I apologize for the generalized statement about them getting on welfare, but it is very possible Many of them come to this country with nothing more than farming skills and working as a <insert fruit/vegetable name here> picker is simply not enough to make it in this country. I wouldn't mind so much if they had an education and could do something .. but in their homeland they get NOTHING we need to get Mexico (and other countries) off their BUTT and start taking care of their people instead of taking care of the politicians wallets

That didn't bother me as much honestly, yeah it worries me about losing jobs to other countries but then it may also allow us to possibly export more.

Although just how free is NAFTA if we can keep putting tariff's on steel and wood?

I know several people that live in Mexico. They went to public school and most of them said they didn't have a problem finding a job after so many companies moved down there.

Actually many of the people I know there have a desk job (don't have a degree or anything). Sure they don't make as much in Mexico, but they said the cost of living is much less and it's where their family is. They make enough to go to college part time and usually go somewhere in the US when they take their vacation. They say every penny to be able to do this, but so did I in college .

They said they don't why so many move to the US. Of course they know why some do because there are some very poor areas and many view this as the promised land, but sooo many? The people I know there are mostly female, maybe they are given better jobs, or they are from well connected families, I don't know.
