Chocolate ice cream and Doritos = YUMMY!

I've been eating chocolate ice cream with doritos broken up and mixed in since I was about 5 years old and I still love it to this day! You have to get the ice cream nice and melted so the doritos can mix in easily...anyone getting hungry? About 9/10 people say "that's gross" without ever trying it, but the 1 that does always likes it!
Any of you have "strange" food combinations that you just can't resist?

Yeah. I go coo-coo for chocolate ice cream with beef jerky & Miracle Whip. Geeez. I just think you're nuts.

You've been enjoying that since you were 5 years old, you say? I wanna know who in their right mind came up with the idea to feed ice cream w/Doritos to a 5 year old? Were the parents into mind altering substances by any chance?

Only other question I have is, what kind of Doritos? Regular? Nacho? Cool Ranch? And what ever happen to Taco Doritos?

As for my tasty treat, it wasn't my parents...I have an older sister who loved to introduce me to new things including this one. She swears that she made me eat dirt on more than one occasion as well, but I don't eat that any more. Oh yeah, I almost forgot...the ice cream only tastes good with Nacho Cheese(ier) Doritos. I hear ya on the Taco Doritos, those were my favorite! (without the ice cream)

LMAO out

I think it's more of your older sister was seeing what she could make you eat.

That's a weird combo martoc, but next time i have some doritos i might give it a try.
one of my sisters gave me spinach and milk and told me it was soup.(freaked her out when I ate it.)

I also used to eat peanut butter cookies dipped in ketchup as a gag. The trick is to do it fast suck the ketchup off as you bite the cookie and swollow it before you chew the cookie. Otherwise it taste nasty.

That actually sounds pretty good martoch. Although, I think mixing it in the ice cream would take away too much of the cheese/salty flavor, is it true? I will eat a few chips or something with ice cream sometimes but not mixed in, but I don't eat ice cream too much. The sweet/salt combo is perfect. You know what's good is, the big, fat chow mein noodles with ice cream and chocolate syrup. They're a great combo with the salt/sweet thing working again.

Are those dorritos cheddar cheese/garlic/onion flavor or plain unsalted vanilla flavor?

Latter may be OK. Former would be GROSS.

I imagine it would be good.

My preference is to dip Nacho Cheese Doritos in real sour cream. Now that is yummy. Preferrably Breakstone brand sour cream.
