Gaming Join the battle against dihydrogen monoxide, now!

A freshman at Eagle Rock Junior High won first prize at the Greater Idaho
Falls Science Fair on April 26. He was attempting to show how conditioned
we have become to the alarmists practicing junk science and spreading fear
of everything in our environment.

In his project he urged people to sign a petition demanding strict control
or total elimination of the chemical "dihydrogen monoxide." And for plenty
of good reasons, since it can:

1. Cause excessive sweating and vomiting
2. It is a major component in acid rain
3. It can cause severe burns in its gaseous state
4. Accidental inhalation can kill you
5. It contributes to erosion
6. It decreases effectiveness of automobile brakes
7. It has been found in tumors of terminal cancer patients He asked 50
people if they supported a ban of the chemical.

Forty-three said yes, six were undecided, and only one knew that the
chemical was -Water!

The title of his prize winning project was, "How Gullible Are We?"

He feels the conclusion is obvious.

Sorry, I just couldn't resist this one!

Heck, there is a whole website dedicated to getting rid of this dangerous chemical: Dihydrogen Monoxide Research Division

Very informative

Yep, we have to organize NOW. The threat of Dihydrogen Monoxide is like a cancer spreading through our planet, luring our children with its empty promises of hydrated thrills!

You know how it is...first, a little "joy juice"...then, because of the addictive nature of the deadly recipe (that is, two parts "H", one part "O" as the "Hydro-heads" like to say,) next thing you know, our precious loved ones are conducting bizarre rituals involving TOTAL IMMERSION in the stuff!

Write to your Congressman immediately! Tell him that you will not stand for the continued spread of this Aqueous Addiction!

I'll just stand over here.

Heh. I ran into one of these flyers in High school, what was that, like 100 years ago? I brought it into to my physics class and only one other person knew what it was (and it wasn't the teacher). I feel proud, it only took me two minutes to put it all together.
