Sorry I haven't been hanging around too much lately.
So much happened at one time, and I don't take to change too well apparently. I got transferred into a new department at work, I had finals, and my grandfather is still sick. Anyway, I just have been feeling overwhelmed and kind of down.
Also, been having a lot of trouble with "body image". I've been too hard on myself, and I know it. But I can't quit it.
I haven't been doing a whole lot of anything lately....
so anyway, I just needed to whine and rant, and hopefully that will help.

Hey I know how you feel. I'm feeling something similar. Too many pounds on my stomach (altho we use kilograms). Three weeks until I am officially unemployed. I have no working experience and am not likely to get a job. I have plans on moving to another city, but I can't get a new place unless I'm employed.

My last money is running out.

So I hear where you're coming from...kinda...

Self-image is always a hard thing to change. It would be nice to not have issues with your self, but I don't think there's anyone who doesn't. You're not alone there.

I'm still on the edge of my chair here at work, waiting for the next wave of lay-offs. I'll be in the next group (going by seniority and length of employment).

And my grandmother is sick, so I'm with you on that one also.

Everything gets better though. At least every time something bad has happened to me (getting fired from a job, getting dumped by some girl who likes to break hearts, etc) something better always comes of it (my current job, my most recent girlfriend, etc). Things will look up kiddo.

Also, feel free to PM / email me and whine about anything. My wife says I'm a good listener to whining (must be the long years of practice! ).

Self-image is a hard one to get right. If you worry about what others think, you'll always be worried, 'cause everyone has different thoughts about what YOU should look like! The trick is to focus on your postives and downplay the negatives. Think about what YOU want yourself to look like, and work on it. Don't worry abouit what others thing (hard, I know, but worth thinking about.)

And smile, geekgrl, and everyone will wonder what you've been up to!
