Had another friend die, again---it shouldnt have happened....
Bulimia Nervosa (a disease experienced by millions of women in the US and abroad)
*She thought she was the only person with a problem like this*
26 year old beautiful girl ive known since she was born (a friends kid)
The relatives around her (which im very close with) said she had a problem "throwing up" that I know was only semi properly addressed by them---
She was passed around the family in an attempt to deal with her behaviour after her parents divorce when she was 13, thats when it began, I never heard the term bulimia from any of them as it progressed, she was a problem each step because she consumed 3 times as much food as any other family members yet wasnt "fat" like would be expected----but didnt hide thowing up what she consumed...
She didnt take to treatment well which was tried many times that ultimately led to her death thru its failure, the treatment is medication and an extreme almost lockdown type behaviour modification situation with intense round the clock therapy sometimes lasting years, basically her treatment was a situation similar to "prison", finally being an adult she could simply reject this treatment which she often did even with all the family behind her, her reason for rejecting treatment was that she was labeled as having a "mental problem" which she strongly didnt believe/accept---she had no reason why she behaved this way which made no sense to anyone--- the family basically never knew or never recognized or didnt wanna recognize she had a disease, a disease like cancer or heart disease or diabetes or many others that left untreated will for sure possibly kill you, im writing this with tears even tho im not surprised, I saw the inevitable happening yet they seemingly didnt and are shocked by her death, im very sad tonight...
Stephanie was a beloved child, that I will dearly miss...

Very sorry to hear that TOKP. A friend of mine has also struggled with bulimia since her younger years and though she has been better, she inevitably gets worse again. It is a disease, very real, and very fatal if not treated properly. May she find the happiness she was looking for in a better place.

Not quite sure what to say, but I didn't want to say nothing. Sorry to hear about it. I feel for you, and her friends/family.

I'm really sad to hear about your loss. She's with Jesus, now. He'll take care of her.
