Another important lesson learned

I have passed the Basic Life Support - CPR training given by Red Cross. and I have realized that this is a very important skill and lesson to be learned.

Congrats on CPR training! I believe it is a great skill to learn as well - you can save a life just by knowing what we do. We had an article in our local paper this week about a gym instructor who saved a clients life by starting CPR when he collapsed in the gym, and kept it up unitl the ambulance crew arrived.

A few minutes can make all the difference between life and death.

Cheers
Mick

Isn't there some kind of "good samaritan law" that governs attempting to save somebody in a life or death situation? Something about being guilty if you simply ignore those in need... Anyone familiar with this or did I dream it up?

actually, we needed this training in order to get an ID for Intel Company. Intel is very strict regarding work safety and expect every supplier or employee is certified first aider.

martoch,

I think in some countries, they have laws or provisions that governs a person saving another. if you ignore the dying person, they will charge you. if you help but the person die, they will charge you.
