Make that country. As in singular. As in the USA. Everybody else hates Israel. EVERYBODY. And, quite frankly, I'm not totally surprised. Basically, what started this "conflict" was Israel basically stealing the West Bank from Jordan in 1967 (and Gaza from Egypt). Now before that, the various Arab nations tried to destroy Israel basically before it was founded (although there is some dispute as to the details of that, too). Now, in 67, Israel claimed that Egypt was about to attack them again, but that was almost certainly false and just an excuse. It was actually closer to when Iraq invaded Kuwait-that is, a land grab, plain and simple. Basically, the correct and moral course of action would be for Israel to completely withdraw everything from the West Bank and Gaza unilaterally (including the settlements, including East Jersuleum-everything). This ain't gonna happen. Now, I'm not saying Arafat and his suicide happy followers are in the right here either-they aren't. But two wrongs don't make a right, and just because the other side are terrorist thugs, doesn't mean you get to keep the land you stole.
Oh, and I also agree with Aero's take on the issue. Too bad it's just wishful thinking.
