Gears for a 85 t-bird

Ok I just bought a 85 t-bird and I want to make the v6 3.8L engine that is in it RUN! I think the first thing that I want to do is put 411's in it! I have been talking to a few people about doing this but they all suggest that I don't do it! Now I do not want to go flying at 150 mph! I will be happy if I still hit 100 but that is all the faster I will ever need to go! The engine was bored 30 over and was just rebuilt about 30,000 miles ago so I am not gonna mess with that! It has awesome headers on it with a 2 1/4" pipes going into flowmaster 40 series mufflers with some nice crome tips. But what else can I do to this car to really tweak it out!?

411's are pretty deep and unless you have an overdrive transmission you will be over rev'ng to get to the 100+ mark.

What gearing do you have now?

get a chip for it.
Get a CAI
Pick up a K/N Filter
No higher than 3.55 gears (unless you really don't want to drive it a lot, then 4.10's are ok)
Since the engine only has 30,000 miles on it. Pick up an NX kit for it. No more than 100HP though...
Then we'll have to line em up....

It's much simpler to add on nitrous.
You'll get an additional 15-20 hp real cheap. (under $400 installed)

Remember you only have a V-6.

You've got roughly 145 hp now. (taking into consideration you had the engine bored 30)

Exhaust will give you about 5 more hp
Chip- 10hp
Gears- 5-10 hp
CAI - 10-15 hp
K/N filter 5-10 hp
So really you can get about maybe 290Hp with all that.
NX kit - Instant 100 hp
