oh btw i wrote it down wrong, i wrote a.b instead of a.c at the end.

i is correct c = the square root of 8
ii I'm not sure about. I read the formula you posted as a times the quantity a plus b plus c equals zero, which is patently impossible!

Oops! for vector quantities a+b = -c so a+b+c = zero
a times zero obviously equals zero
<edit> cr@p...that's not right either.

What's the dots mean? Does a.c. mean "value of side a multiply by value of side c"??
A bump for ya!
BTW, if that's what a.c. means, then I think a.c. = 4 x square rt. 2

a.c means Vector "a" times Vector "c" (a1 x b1 + a2 x b2) but as a and c arent given you have to work it out a roundabout way.
