You see since I grew up as an Army brat I got to see and experience much of the military's dark side. And hence, I realized the idea of serving in the military is a noble and just cause, in reality it seems to be just a way to see how much BS you can stand before you explode. So I decided I would be joining the military only under the conditions that my country absolutely needed me there.
Brats could fall under other.

And we need you so please go enlist...

I was in the military as part of national service.

11th Jäger Regiment, 1st Company.

I was infantry medic. We were actually one of the few regiments that got to do something serious and productive. We guarded the borders and picked up illegal immigrants.

I thought it was a great experience.

I spent a total of 33 days with the Air Force, Officer Training School in Montgomery, AL. I was in the active flight for 15 days, where I got injured and elected not to continue to get my commission for fear of a lifetime injury and the harsh rules of the UCMJ. I spent the next 18 days in Casual, which was the best part of my time spent there.

My web page documents my experiences and hopefully will help others in the future:
