Systems Do you believe in ghosts?

So, do you?

Well, my apartment is very creepy and haunted. It was used as a hospital during the civil war.
The other night, I was coming in late. My neighbor wasn't home, and neither was my husband.
I walk in the first floor... which is just a hallway...
I walk up the stairs to the second floor where I live. This branches off into two hallways, and near my neighbors apartment there is a stairway to a third floor that is abandoned. Well, this third floor is supposed to have lots of ghosts in it...
So, I don't bother to flip the hall light on, and I'm fumbling for my keys. I hear footsteps coming down from the third floor. I pause and listen. They stop. When I move my keys again, they start coming down again but faster.
I RAN inside... so I'm still freaked out.....

I would love to see (or feel) a ghost.....as long as it causes me no harm..

It would probably freak me out...but I would enjoy it after the fact

Dunno really... ma says they are real. My bed used to shake gently every now and then for no reason which freaked me (in the basement BTW, so it wasn't the house moving).

I see no need for you to be afraid, Geekgrl. There's not much that poor fella can do...supposedly, ghosts are unaware that they have "passed on", and operate in a confused semi-existence.

Or maybe he just thinks you're cute!

Well, my neighbors apartment has been exorcised about 10 years ago. ..... Apparently the guy who lived there saw something, left, and refused to ever come back.

There *is* public record of all this "activity" in the research library below...

geekgrl- you have to post some pics of this apartment sometime. I keep reading posts about it and it sound really cool, but freaky too.
I don't really believe, but a couple of times there's been no other explanation. This apartment my girlfriend used to live in a couple of years ago had some weird goings on.
One time we were sitting in the living room, just getting ready to leave the apartment when we heard these noises. Someone whistling something strange, fairly loud and a child giggling. This was from inside the apartment and no one else was home, in the middle of the afternoon. I don't even think there were any children living in that area. It freaked the heck out of us but we couldn't explain it and just got out.

Yes i believe in ghost's and here is why.

Shortly after my father passed away I was downstairs watching TV. I had gotten a can of pepsi earlier and had it sitting on the coffee table. Condensation had formed on the can and had started to run down the sides. As I was sitting there watching TV the can moved across the table. Now when I say move it moved a good foot to foot and a half. I was like woo that was crazy, I figured that the condensation had formed and air bubble under the can thus lifting it off the table just abit causing it to slide in the direction the table was sloping to. I thought no more of it until the next day. I started tellin the wife about it and gave her my theory. To test the theory that the table sloped abit I got a ball and placed it on the table in the exact spot where the pepsi can was at. It did not roll anywhere, it stayed in the same spot proving that the table was not sloping to one side. The only other conclusion that I an come up with is that my father was letting me know that he was there watching out for me and my family.

There have also been times when we have seen figures on the steps, in the rooms, everywhere. My kids were afraid to sleep in their room for about 2 weeks cause the felt someone touch them when they were trying to go to sleep. We calmed them down by telling that it was just pop pop looking in on them.

There have been numerous things that have happened in my house that lead me to believe that my father is there, just too many to put in one message.

Yep, I do....

I saw a ghost of a little girl in my moms house when I was about 9 or 10 years old. Her house was build around 1929 or so and it was always really creepy. There would be all kinds of weird stuff going on like ash tray's moving across the table or the T.V. would turn off. The girl that I saw was about my age (9 or 10) and she appeared to be walking as if walking down a street but the image did not move. Above her was a shadowy figure of a skeleton that was moving like it was trying to reach out and grab her. At first I thought it was my older brother doing something to scare me but then I realized that he was not home at the time.

Yep, me too. Actually there was a program on TV not too long ago I think on discovery channel about Ghosts from the Civil War. Based on a book. You could prolly look it up on their website.
I've seen them, lots of times. Most times you don't realize what it is; you just see a shadow in your peripheral vision. I also used to see my old cat all the time shadow style. I never gave it much thought other than you can't mention this to anyone they'd think your nuts... Till someone else looked at me and said "Is there a cat in here?" hee hee I said "nope".
