Best place to buy airline tickets online...

Throw some suggestions at me!! I want to go visit my cousin in MD for for the weekend sometime in late May.

I hate every online site!

I call the airline!

Well I wanna get something cheap. Although normally it's a flight at like 4 am on a broken down airplane with an airline that has a bad safety record and a broken plane.

My favorite is www.qixo.com

It's kinda like Pricewatch for airline tickets, in that it's a search engine.

I normally just find the best price there, though, then call the airline to book the flight.

I've had great success with Orbitz. Used em twice and was pleased.

try hotwire.com Havent used them but heard they were pretty good if you are flexible in your flight time

They are the only one that I have ever seen advertise on TV. I discovered them myself years ago before they got big.......sis needed site for cheap airline tickets.......voila, typed it in

Well the thing is I don't think you would get anything much cheaper on line than on the phone. Plus the hassle factor, the Airline is so much easier to deal with. I've used Orbitz and never will again. I've tried travelocity. Cheaptickets Wart mentions was an offline site before it was on the net. I don't know about how their site works, but know several people that have used them and were happy- (telephone method tho I think) . The guys I used for years, Travel Bargins has sunk I think, I know they don't have the deals they used to have.
