More sad music news (Alice in Chains)
The lead singer of Alice in Chains (Layne Staley) was found dead at his home in Seattle today. That's the pits. It's seems as of lately many of my favorite bands are disintegrating one way or another. Body found in Seattle home of Alice in Chains singer Layne Staley |

Alice in Chains lists up there with some of my favorite bands. Very sad news indeed.

Heroin is bad, didnt one of his arms rot off a couple years back?
It was only a matter of time, Jerry Cantrell bailed on him long ago most likely due to his drug use, last I saw of them was the MTV Unplugged concert they did awhile back where Staley barely looked alive---"Down in a hole" has a different meaning to him now, too bad, it was good while it lasted...

The only thing I know about them was their appearance in the Wayne's World movie. That was them right?

| Well not really. There is one thing about drug abuse that you can take to the bank. It's always the same.
To quote Layne Staley Quote: | When I tried drugs, they were great, and they worked for me for years, and now they're turning against me -- and now I'm walking through hell, and this sucks." | That's how it always goes eventually.

| Well, yeah, but...
L.S. was one of the most amazing voices to show up in a long time. Too bad he couldn't tame the damn demons. Too bad that...
Well, it's just too bad. I hate to hear about stuff like this.
R.I.P. man. (expletive)...you wanna do that (expletive), you can expect this sad and stupid result. |

What sucks more is to lie rotting in your pad and none of your "friends" checks on you for days...
