I believe the jet fuel was the reason the fire burned so long, and there were cell phone conversations from passengers who said the aircraft seemed to be circling Washington before it crashed. The Pentagon is also a concrete structure, unlike the WTC.
There are theories all the time. And hoaxes. Of course there was a plane.
Reminds me of the "London Flat Earth Society". Founded in the 1800s sometime. For every evidence that astronomers found of the earth being round, these dudes found a "logical" explanation. Example: when photographs from space clearly showed the earth's curvature, the dudes said the earth is shaped like a nickel and the photographs show the curve of a flat cylinder.

...much like the reasoning they would have for never deny or invent anything else, right? YA!! Not that I buy into this but there are some thought-provoking points presented here. But then we have an eyewitness right here in our midst:
