Pizza! What is your favorite and where?
I love pizza. I could eat it everyday as long as it comes from a different place each time.
My favorite is Pepperoni w/mushrooms & onions on a med kind of crunchy crust.
I dont care for chain pizza places Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa John's etc.... I like the local mom and pop type shops.
Since I just moved to this area I have yet to find any real good places yet. I sure miss the pizza from Pennsylvania.
Post your favorite type and where from....
J

Well, not from Kentucky, but the best pizza (IMHO) around here is from Grotto's. Has a nice cheese/sauce flavor, semi-thin crust that's a little crisp, and it's best just plain like my wife likes it. I like pepperoni myself. It's available around Rehoboth Beach & Lewis (Delaware) and Ocean City (Maryland).
What she and I would consider dropping a diet for! |

There's a pretty good frozen pizza, jman, made by DiGiorno, that ain't half bad! I was really surprised! (Note: Don't get it confused with "Frescetta"...really bad.)
I think it's hilarious how the subject of pizza keeps popping up here...almost like it ain't regarded as food...but as a Peripheral! |

We have a kind here called White Pizza. It has no sauce, alot of Garlic, alot of cheese, and whole tomato slices on it. Best I ever had was from a place called Mr.Bones in Greensburg PA.

i like anything with deep dish crust. thin crust is so dang pointless that it makes me laugh. why not just get thick crust, and if you dont want it, dont eat it(the crust that is)? my favorite toppings are a combo of pepperoni, pineapple, and jalapeneos(sp?). that may sound weird but i love it.
