Yeah, "Tremors" was definitely cool, and pt. 2 was okay, too!
There's a pt. 3??
There's a BUNCH of great movies in the bins...one that I go back to often is "Silverado" with Kevin Costner, Danny Glover, John Cleese, a whole bunch of great actors plus script by Lawrence Kasdan. Astoundingly good filmmaking, and seems to be forgotten!
Of course, if you're looking for Kitsch, check out "Lust in the Dust" with Divine, Tab Hunter, (and Lainie Kazan does a turn that'll blow your socks off!) I never would have seen this one, except I worked on the ad campaign...now it's a keeper! Completely nuts, played absulutely straight. Love it!
And if totally over-the-top is your cup of tea, I dare you to TRY and find "The Forbidden Zone" by Richard Elfman (which has a wonderful Cab Calloway turn by brother Danny Elfman...) it's all in b/w, takes GENEROUS helpings of Fleishman bros. (Betty Boop, Popeye) animation, has bits of totally gratuitous nudity, a story line that only makes sense if you're willing to dismiss it entirely. MMMM, YEAH!
