When he found the box with the gold wings on it, why didn't he open it?

my friends saw it and said it sucked so i didn't go. something about a guy on an island and when he gets back all he wants to do is drive his car or something like that.

I think it was because it was someone elses mail, mailman swear an oath not to open mail i think hehe
I like the whole wilson theme, very witty

he didn't open it, it was sort of the determination to get off the island and deliver the package

I thought the movie was entertaining. I wouldn't say it "sucked". It highlights Tom Hanks' ability to act.....how many actors can perform well when they are nearly the only person in the film?

But he opened the other packages.. why not the one with the gold wings?

Oh btw it turned out to be a much better movie than I heard it was.

I thought it was because he saw the pair of angel wings painted on the box and it became sacred to him - symbolizing hope, God, etc..
