Misc Snake Scores!!!

I have a movie date Saturday night!!! Woohooo! I'm grounded (perpetually) so I have to lie to my parents and tell them I have work when I actually don't. Her parents are overprotective so her dad will be driving her there That gives me no time to talk If I was driving her there I'd go 20mph She's really sweet, pretty and smart (she just got a 1470 on her SAT ). She's a junior, a year younger than myself. Any ideas on how to get around this overprotectiveness?

Go slow and get to know her parents. Drop by on Sunday afternoon and be well dressed. Be friendly to her folx and respectful. Smile. Do that a few times and when they get to know you and like you they will prolly loosen up..

(they may even encourage her to see that nice young man )

LOL yeah, listen to surreal. I suggest that you don't try and act too nice around the parents. They do know what's going on.

take interest in something her father likes, be his friend if you can

try not to say anything which is an opinion, over protective people are usualy conservatives so think conservatively, don't wear any earings, have a stupid haircut or slouch when you walk.

finaly - LEARN PROPER TABLE MANNERS!!! don't hold your fork like you are stabbing whatever it is (like i do), don't talk with your mouth full, pronounciate your words correctly, don't use slang, say 'excuse me' instead of 'move please' (that's what i say )

good luck

if she is really smart, her parents may be really smart, and may expect their little girls boyfriend to be really smart aswell. I suggest taking along an encyclopeadia, or maybe a dictionary, just in case...

the main thing which judges how they see you is HOW YOU SPEAK!

if you use words which sound nice such as 'articulate' and actually use them in proper context in a clear voice, they will think you are intelligent even if you don't know squat
