why are all the forums around the internet look alike?
is it a standard template for froum sites?

Yup, a lot will use vBulletin. some use really stupid color combinations that give you seizures when you look at them.

But not here

Eevn the non-vBulletin ones tend to look like vBulletin, IMO.

There are quite a few packages out there, though.

the non welfare sites use vBulletin. look at any non proffit or just_for_the_hell_of_it sites such as mine have other ones such as ikonboard or YaBB.

it's because vBulletin has more features sort of, i don't see how vBulletin is worth $160 more though
