Know an online source for raw car audio drivers?

Trying to find some replacements for an older double driver (2 ended) passive Bazookatube---been searching locally without luck and dont really wanna spend 95$ apiece for "Audio-barn" drivers and would actually like to keep the cost down if possible being my 2nd car, looking for an online source with inexpensive quality---hmmm heard that before?

Car is a convertable and the audiosystem takes a beating topdown at 85 on the fwy, im surprised its lasted this long...

Here are the driver specs:
Bass Tubes Enclosure Computer aligned bass reflex-ducted port
Woofer Size 6.5"
Voice Coil Size 1" high power / high temp
Magnet Size 20 oz.
Frequency Response 39-1500Hz
Efficiency 100dB
Power Handling 6 to 100 watts/channel
Impedance 4 ohms***

TKOP, check out Parts Express

They have a very extensive selection of raw drivers and access to some of the better names out there. They're pretty heavily into car audio.

Also Crutchfield is pretty good, but I'm not sure about finding the exact replacements. They do sell the bazookas, though, so they may be able to point you in the right direction.

I second Parts Express. I use them alot for both car audio and home theater. Crutchfield is also a very good source, but I have had some trouble getting what I ordered from them on two occasions.

If you want dirt cheap POS drivers from numerous brands: www.mcmelectronics.com

I second adireaudio, if they make the driver size you need.

TKOP, this one is not as simple as it sounds...that tube is vented ("ported"). You will need to find drivers that have the appropriate parameters to have this thing work decently. Just choosing the right size and impedance won't cut it. If the only thing wrong with the current drivers is rotted surrounds, you might try replacing them with kits available from Parts Express.

Have you ASKED Parts Express, MCM, and/or Madisound to recommend suitable drivers for this enclosure?

BTW, is the 4 ohm impedance you mention for the system? I.E., are there two 8 ohm drivers wired in parallel?

Finally, Madisound has some 10" Clarion car subs for $25 each. They work great in 0.5 cu ft sealed boxes. Note that they are 2 ohms; make a 1 cu ft box, drop 2 of them in there and wire in series for the 4 ohm impedance preferred by most bridged car audio amps.

You can't just put any driver in a Bazooka tube. The tube is perfectly aligned to react with that driver. You may be able to get away with it in a sealed box but odds are a driver replacement is not a good idea here. The tube is passive so it's not like you're misisng out on an amp. Scrap the tube and get/build a box. MCM drivers (some of them) are very good deals and perform great.

Well---I DO have the specs for the driver---why cant I simply buy equal replacements without spending a bundle?---I doubt Bazooka did little more then buy them somewhere else at the time---(it is 10 years old) the rubber surrounds are fine its just one of the drivers is dead as a doornail---makes sense to replace the pair of course---yes they are 4 ohm individually wired directly to my 2nd 4 channel amp both running w/crossovers to 10 separates (2 ti tweeters/2mids indash/2midbass indoor/2-3way fills in rear kick under the seat/and the 6½ double ended Bazooka sub in the trunk---mind you this was 10 years ago so it was built at the time with the technology available---no I dont want more bass so 20 inches of combined sub is out...car is a '92 Mustang converti with a trunk the size of a postage stamp and the 6½" Bazooka is perfect in this application as it fits perfectly...

Edit---> BTW Bazooka isnt helping much as ive contacted them a multiple of times, they want me to buy new even tho they sell components, im looking to come close to "what it was" for under 100$...
