Good Irish music?

Dunno why, but I've taken a likin' to irish music...
I was thinking of finding some and would like some suggestions!

gaelic/celtic I'll give it a shot

There is a station somewhere around Smith's falls ontario that I hear sometimes and it plays some irish music and I've found that I like it...

Maybe some suggestions of what to look into?

(thinkin Griophta should be all over this lol)

and not the unicorn song LOL

Good Irish Music

That is an oxymoron, IMO.

Cheers

How about The Chieftains.

They did a rendition of "Behind Blue Eyes" with Roger Daltrey that I've always thought was pretty good.
Of course they also do alot of traditional Irish music...

Allright, Mick! At last, we have something to disagree on!

You're dealing with an Irishman, here, and our music is dear to us...so I will proceed to kick your Saurean butt (cheerfully, and with a friendly wink!)

Seriously, Vass, there is quite a bit of the Artistry of the Son's of Erin out here...Try looking up the work of a guy named Richard Searles.... very beautiful music.

Also, if you can locate old Whaler's tunes, (Mystic Seaport is a good venue,) you'll find an extraordinary vein of "Irish Blues"....these guys went to sea in search of whales, vis-a-vis gainful employment, and came back with some ASTOUNDING songs!

This music is the greatest "get to work" music ever....once you hear it, you'll see what I mean.

Go for it! And ENJOY, buddy!

Oh, and Mickwish..j/k...No, I'm not!
