Rant about talkin on the DARN phone with women......

Well not women in general...my girlfriend to be specific. Well I just got off the phone with my gf and it was great. Had a good conversation and all for an hour and a half. And honestly...thats dang impressive for a guy like me because I really dont like the phone. I consider it to be the anti-christ. Anyway, after an hour and a half there start to be some silent points in the conversation. Then a long one came about and I figured it was time to get off the phone because no one was talkin and I just felt like it was the right time to end a good conversation. "End it while its still fun" I always say. "Well I think Im gonna go to bed Annie," I say and she instantly says why. "Well I've gotta get up early for the races tomorrow." (LONG BEACH GP ) So she starts to make up conversation to keep me on the phone. And she's away at school so she asks me what I wanna do when she gets home. How the hell should I know? I just wanna spend whatever it is with you. Thats basically what I said but she got all defensive saying that she just never hears that Im excited.

Yeah, so anyway she decides that its "ok" if I go if Im tired. So I said OK LOVE YOU GOODNIGHT!

LORD!!! Why is it ok for HER to leave when she wants to but god-forbid that I do it. AHHH!!!! As I said before every1. The phone is the antri-christ. And ya know what is really the worst??? The cell phone. If you have a gf the cell phone is horrid! It makes them think they can get a hold of you all the damn time....I didn't get the cell phone to be called 24/7...geez!!! Let me have some space!

Tell her that you've had your line switched over for some sort of special biz deal on long distance and the call is costing you $5.00 a minute.

i never understood how it is even remotely possible to talk for more than an hour. if i talked to my friend for over an hour it would result in me memorizing the entire periodic table, all molecular structures and all organic chemical reactions. what could women possibly talk about for an hour? i wonder......

men are blunt are straight forward in talking, i have NEVER had a conversation longer than 3 minutes. when i see my brother answer the phone, me viewing from my computer chair, i see him pick up the phone by saying hello, says: yep, ok, cya there. hangs up the phone then says "i'm going to %location% with %person%, %person% and %person% we're goin %action% and i'll be back %time%
in just 10 seconds he has got: what they are doing, who will all be there, where is it, how to get there and when it will be over.

Couldn't have said it better myself. It really boggles my mind how I manage it sometimes And brandon...unfortunately she wouldn't believe any ridiculous excuse I give her like that. I can't ever get off the phone because Im done talking. Guess thats not a good enough reason or some junk. I just use the classics...like "Im tired" or "I need to study" or the greatest "Ahh my friends are yellin at me gotta go!" Hehe...they always seem to work. But I think they might be losing there validity slowly

that will imply that you put your friends priority above her, NOT GOOD!!!!

if you say that you have to study or you have to vacuum the floor, you are in the zone!

LoL...vacuum the floor...hahahah Im sure she would loooooove that. Actually she doesn't get that angry/jealous when I use the friend excuse. Strange isn't it....

Well maybe it's time to stop and reflect on something in here.
Tekk, are you happy with your relationship? To be honest, Tekk, once you are becoming impatient about your partner's actions or words, it would definitely lead into something. If you think you're getting strangled up in your relationship, just be honest to your partner. tell her the things that you tell us about. nevertheless she would realize she's going too far already.

Get a good speakerphone for those times!

Really does work well, you don't have to sit there with that infernal handset against your head. Plus you can get other things done at the same time. A good one lets you hold a conversation just like you're in the same room.

Another benefit is that when you call a company, hold time is tolerable and automated systems are less annoying!

hahah i can relate tekk, my ex would use to do that, until one time i fell asleep on her! :O
