A certain site which shall remain un named has decided to do 2 things that I jsut now found out about.. a the said site has edited my avatar. (which happens to be the same one I use here) and secondly have broken their privacy agreement.. they are revealing my email address even after I specifically checked the box in the user CP (this is another vbulletin BB BTW) that says to hide my email addy...


I guess they feel editinf animated avatars is more important than ensuring the privacy of their own users....

naa they didn't change it.. it's just that the page I found my email addy on is somehow seperate from vbulletin.... I would really like to know what they are thinking.... I wasn't logged in when I found that page.. actually I wasn't even on their site when I found that page.. good ol google told me about it...

notice how it shows up on google as the third hit under my nick??

That place has gone straight downhill. (Sorry ND - just calling them as I see them.)

There is no community feel there. Really sad to see something so great get so low... The management has ruined that site.

1) Your avatar looks the same there now as it did before. Perhaps you put it back up...

2) That looks like the old SysOpt UBB search page to me, Emails were displayed in that forum software, unlike the new vBulletin software that uses it's own internal email system and never actually displays the email address for anyone.

<edit> looks like you figured it out... the old UBB database is still online, I sometimes use it to find posts by members that have been deleted from their current database. Looks like you stumbled across it with google too

lol musta been a glitch.... about the avatar but I did clean out the cookies... so hrmm.. dunno about that.. but the email part still

ok so I take HALF of it back.. must be an issue on my end.. but I did try it on 2 different boxes to be sure....
