Chooco's been getting a bum rap for posting a thousand times about all manner of things, but it seems to me that you only respond to points concerning the Middle East?! All anyone has to mention is Sharon, or Arafat, or Israel, etc., and there you are! I've read everyone of your lengthy posts and agree with a lot of what you've said, and I admire your efforts in truly trying to exchange your views with others on this forum.

I am a long time Agnostic/Stoic who happens to believe that religion, as it's practiced nowadays, is going to kill us all! We've seen what religious bigotry/hatred has done in Northern Ireland. Can anyone really tell the difference physically between an Arab and a Jew? I think not. What separates us all is our belief system. I hate you because you practice the Jewish faith, and you hate me because I practice Islam!!!!! I just don't see an end to this. I just feel fortunate that my parents never indoctrinated me as a child to cleave to their Methodist faith. They left it up to me and my brothers to find our own way in finding a life affirming belief system, whatever that may be.

it's human nature to fight, they just need something to fight over (religion, supposedly).
