Being as one of our Members is movin' to Texas, and being as da DOOOG needs some 'moluments for building the Ultimate Computer, the Human Brain, can you recommend a movie or two for the BD Texas Film Festival ?
Let me srtit off with The Last Picture Show , the film that bought more fame to Ben Johnson, and made Glenn Close, Tim Bottoms, and even Cybil Shepard--then a model--an actress. Great cinamatography. Peter Bogdanovich , I think, directed.
Do you realize how many films are about Texas?
Hud with Paul Newman "Hud is a man" and was it Brandon de Wilde (no relation to de wild DooG) of Shane fame.
John Wayne in The Yellow Rose of Texas about a Calvery officer.
Giant , I think the second (or the first) movie by James Dean , and I think Rock Hudson, 'Liz Taylor (?)--an epic of the coming of oil wealth to longhorn country,still worth seeing-- if you can find it.
