Bad Drivers

I was minding my buisiness, doing the speed limit on a two lane road when this girl in a Saturn blows past me only to stop in front of me at the light. I get really ticked with bad drivers so I just layed on the horn for at least ten seconds and reved the engine but she just smiled. I followed her onto the next two lane road and my friends were in the car. I punched the gas and pulled in front of her. Once I was doing about 55MPH I yanked the E-brake and sent a cloud of really bad smelling smoke into her car (she had the windows down). The cloud was so bad that all I could see of her were her headlights. She pulled her windows up but that only made it worse for her. She was really mad, she gave me the finger and attempted to zoom past me, but in her attempt, her little saturn couldn't push hard enough, the yellow light turned red and a police officer just happened to pull into the intersection. He followed her and pulled her over. I beeped and waved goodbye as I passed her This really made my day except now my rear tires are slightly lopsided and I can feel and hear thump thump thump thump thump thump thump as I drive. I'll have to even them out later.

Patience and forebearance come with age and experience. Blind luck was the difference between you and a ticket. Or an acccident.

Tit for tat is not a wise move, particularly out on the road. What did this get you besides lumpy tires and worn brakes?

The lumpy tires should go away in a week or two. There was no chance of an accident, at least not one being my fault. What did I get out of the whole thing? Turning her smart @$$ smile into a disgusted gagging look and having her almost lose control of her car trying to crank her windows up, giving her five minutes that she'll never forget. I wouldn't wish for her to get hurt, I wouldn't wish a car accident to my worst enemies. Just maybe next time she'll think twice about pulling a stunt like that again.

Forget patience, she got what she deserved assuming none were hurt.

Burn out the tires a couple of times, the thumping sound should disappear. That will wear away tread too.... then again, I go through a set of z rated tires and titanium mettalic brakes every 15-20k anyway! You could classify me as an "offensive driver."

Rob, quit using metallic brake pads as they wear the rotors out very quickly.

Instead get "organic" material pads, they transfer the heat just fine for street cars and don't last near as long as metallic, side benefit you can get by without turning down the rotors for at least 2 sets of pads.

Hmmmm sounds like two people with road rage to me, that is how accidents happen, doesn't matter if you said there was no chance for an accident. there is always potential for accidents. Sounds like both of you were bad drivers that day to me.

there are other bad drivers as well. People talking on cell phones while they are driving. or grooming while they are driving.

next time someone does that stunt again rather than getting defensive and going on the offensive to "teach her a lesson" just honk your horn to let them know of your disgust with them. no need to sink to thier levels.

just my .02

-1 I don't get it. Somebody passed you then stopped at a red light. What was she supposed to do, according to your "logic"? Run the red light? And what did she do that was wrong? People aren't allowed to pass you? Did she cut you off? What?

-2 Wow. Can we say white trash? I used to do the road rage too when I was younger, but come'on...you're messing with some chick in a Saturn??? Geez. Are you coming after my grandma next? I'd like to see ya pull that crap in front of me. For starters if you were too close when you pulled that and assumed I would be forced to brake then you're wrong...I'd hit your ass. I've done this once and the look on the other guy's face was worth any dings my truck took.

-3 LOL. Flatspot.

-4 Depending on how bad it is, they don't always go away so easily. If it's only one tire, make it your spare and swap.

Really, Snake...
Her stupid actions were, luckily, not catastrophic.
Neither were yours.
But you lost your cool. Most unwise.
Especially when behind the wheel.

Perhaps you felt better for your "coup."
Think of how you'd felt if you pulled that brake,
your right wheels hit a slick spot, or a bit of loose traction,
or a tire blew out because you abused it,
and your car had spun left at 55 MPH,
and she'd t-boned you right in the driver's door!

Your car would have been smashed.
You might have been injured.
And the judge would have thrown the book at you for driving like a moron.

Pure BS, and you know it. If you pass someone at high speed, pull in front of them, jamb on the brakes, and cause a huge cloud of smoke, you are a menace! If then an accident occurs, it is 100% your fault! Don't take my word for it. Ask any cop, judge, or lawyer.

And never think "there was no chance."
People die every day from things less stupid than this.
