Community Service

I have to do 60 hours of community service, with a minimum of 5 hours a week. It also has to be with "young children," so what do I do??

Any suggestions welcome

Lan-party?
Frizbee lessons?
The key is, what can you do.

I delevered telephone books once as community service. Maybe you could look into one of thodr dortd of things.

It just depends what you want out of it. IF your being forced and dont really want to do it go with soemthing like telephone book drops, There fun and you get to see the streets.

Be grateful you were not assigned the Horror duty of killing dogs and cats.

I was at the local animal shelter looking for a missing pet a couple of years back.

An inmate was showing me the animals, a deputy soon came in and as they walked away I could hear them talking.

The deputy asked him if he could do "it" this time without crying.

the inmate answered " I'll try "

Good call pshawn
What about being a "big brother" ?
There are many kids out there that can't rely on their own family that would be more than happy to have somebody spend time with them and teach them what life CAN offer... that they can make something out of their life, and become more than what they're told they can be.

um if you are getting forced into community service (most likely through crime) wouldn't it have been a better idea to keep you AWAY from kids? lol

i'd say be a teacher helper at a local school, my mom used to do that before she got a job when i was little. she would help kids when they had problems, sort of a neat job IMO.

The first thing I would do is get a lawyer. Involuntary Servitude is unconstitutional.

are you sure man? my school religion class has a thing where you need 15 hours of community service to pass. Canadian constitution is pretty much the same as American one.

Just curious but why does it have to be with young children?

I did mine at a couple colleges picking up garbage. I would disappear and go to the college library and read. I had to do the 200hrs of CS or pay out the ying-yang to get my DL back; I had a nice collection of unpaid tickets.
