Yipeeee! My new system!

I just upgraded my computer(er, or kinda just built a new one).
This thing is flying and my hair is on fire!

Here it is:
ECS K7S5A
XP1700+
512 Crucial PC2100 DDR (2x256)
Enlight 7237 case w/ 340w AMD/Intel ps
XP pro OS
40g WD hdd 7200
12x Delta-rom
12x10x32 Lite-on CD-R
GeForce2 MX 200 w/ TV out (This is my next upgrade)
1.44 Floppy
Round Braided cables (silver)

I want to upgrade my vid card next. I'm leaning towards a
PNY GeForce3 Ti200.
What do you think?

This is what I upgraded from:
ECS K7VMA
Duron 750
98SE
Superpower case w/ S & H ps
same drives as above except cables

Just checking Newegg and the Ti500 is $250 right now. I'll wait till the gf4 4600 is out for awhile and that price drops.

The only thing that I'd really upgrade now is I'm running the on-board sound and the vid card.

I have Altec Lansing's ACS 45.2 speakers. Does a sound card really change the sound that much? Gaming and music mostly.

SoundCard differences.... This is just my input and opinion: For me, I would like a quality soundcard with atleast 5.1 surround, but- live in a apartment/condo complex and cant/dont play things loud. When I game, I wear headphones if it is after 9pm. For my uses, Onboard Sound is more than adequate and I dont have any complaints. I dont listen to music on my computer, use stereo for that. So, currently, in my living situation and according to need- I say there is not much of a difference. However, should I soon live somewhere else where loudness is not an issue- Surround Sound for gaming!!! In other words, all depends on your needs and uses.

Mortis

BTW- With your new and powerful machine... check out DC'ing... hehe. Shameless plug . UD MiniTeam Korgul is always looking for assistance to make it to the top ^. LOL.
