Are you sure you aren't clicking on REPLY ALL? I have done that before and sent myself email's too...

p.s. Received: from unknown (HELO itchy.recommend-it.com) (192.168.1.20) If I am correct, when you enable ICS, the PC uses the IP range of 192.168.1.x, so if you tried to shut that down, you would be shutting yourself down...

if i don't know the person's email, i don't email them. but i'm getting TONS of spam messages for like news groups and stuff, is there a way i can find out what IP requested that? them doin somethin illegal to me first (harassment) is called justification, you can look it up in any law book

There are some programs out there that you can track emails back to a certain point but I have never used any of them. I totally understand since I get SPAM all the time to my MSN account and the username on that account is alpha-numeric so I know that a company either gave or sold my email address, which does suck!

well it's not really that bad for me, since it's integrated into Outlook i can very easily just select the once that are spam (all non TechIMO stuff) just by holding shift, click on the last one then push delete. takes only 1 second of life away but it's just annoying...... as a general rule they should have it that subscription verification should tell you the IP of the guy who requested it.
Tom's Hardware Guide has that, i forgot that my name was chooco and i sent a query for my email address and it said "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx requested the password for Chooco"
