Can you imagine, What Jesus went thru, All the pain, and suffering he endured, just to save the souls of people he did not even know? Without hardly anyone even admitting they even knew him, he died a cruel death, and to rise, three days later, to go be with his Father in heaven. All for us...... Kinda makes you think..........

The worst part of Jesus' death wasn't the physical agony of the cross, but the fact He was separated from His Father. Jesus could have called a legion of angels to rescue Him at any time, but He didn't. Why? Because He knew He needed to go though it so He could be the salvation that people needed.

That's really awesome. That he did it because His Father wanted Him to is amazing obdeience and sacrifice.

So we remember Jesus' sacrifice for us - even though we never have deserved it. It's called grace - God's Riches (for us) at Christs' Expense. Truly amazing love and obedience.

i don't understand how he died for us. nobody believed that he was the real deal of those who killed him. his dying didn't prove anything, it could have been anybody who got killed.
if he stayed alive he could have kept doing stuff so i don't see why him dying and ending his whole career proved anyting.
usualy people who are alive can change the world more.

Not in this case chooco. Our sight is limited by what we can see; there are spiritual forces we can't see and they fool us into thinking there is nothing there. So we don't think about the spiritual battle going on for your soul.

The ONLY way we can get back on track to be the creations that God planned for us to be is to get rid of all the bad stuff. Jesus did that by giving himself to the punishment of death when he didn't deserve it. And his death means we don't have to be separated from God for eternity (spiritual death).

Read a bit of what Peter said after Jesus died in the book of Acts in the New Testament - chapter 2. He explains it a bit. A good bit of light reading for Easter.
