Most realistic war simulation

No it's not a PC game. It's Airsoft. A game started in the early 70's using 1/1 scale exact replicas of weapons (including machine guns) that fire plastic pellets up to 1000 rounds/minute. I'm looking into buying the FAMAS submachine gun (from Metal Gear Solid). I think this game is better than paintball in several ways. First you dont get messy with paint. Second the guns actually look real and not like something out of a toilet tank. Third, you don't need to buy expensive C02, and plastic pellets are cheaper than paintballs. A lot of the games played in this sport are similar to games in Unreal Tournament, Domination, last one alive etc...

The FAMAS is nice, but the SG-551 or M4A1 is more my taste. The AK Beita Spetsnaz looks mean. Can't go wrong with an MP5 either.

Too bad any extra cash I have over the next few months is going toward stereo equipment.

Just like the Nissan Skyline (from Gran Turismo 3).......meaning, everyone seems to get their ideas from video games....j/j

CO2 expensive?? Not hardly.

Anyway, I do like the fact that the guns are a ton more realistic looking, basically exact replicas of real rifles. Also, the cost of a good gun is $200-300.......paintball, to get a really good gun, it starts at $400 and continues on up past $1000.....well, 'cept the machine gun and sniper rifle airsoft guns are about $1k

I'd take the Steyr AUG, HK G3 or the M-4. MP5 for CQB. I live for this stuff

I have done paintball a few times.. it's pretty fun..
maybe YOU get hit a lot but I usually come out with hardly a scratch

I have not heard of Airsoft before.. I'd probably try it out if I saw somewhere to do it.. we do have some decent paintball out here.. still a lot of farms and such where I am.. so you get some nice rugged area with lots of bushes and ditches etc.. makes for good paintball..

I played paint ball once, It was raining and everytime you shot someone the rain would wash of the paint and they just denied being hit.

This looks coolies tho, I am looking at the pistols, I seem to be more into pistols.

If these guns shoot up to 1000 pellets a minute then what happens with the pellets afterward? Are they biodegradeable? It's cool that they look so real but I don't see orange on the tips to show that they aren't. I can see problems in the future with the Police though.

They've been around for quite some time and I have yet to hear anything about problems with the police.

Also.. what is to determine if someone gets hit?
i'm sure if they have no markings on themselves and nobody was an eye witness... they could easily deny it

What I'd rather play is the most realistic war game to date - laser tag with blanks in your gun....that's what the military does. You use REAL guns, REAL blank ammo (same sound) but with laser attachement on your rifle and a hit transponder on your chest. Watch Combat Missions on USA if you want to actually see if in action
