Dropping like flies...
There goes another free email service. Onebox.com says users have until the middle of next month to choose from among their 3 subscription plans to continue service. All plans include a fee. If you don't pick one, you're account is deleted.
Guess my account is getting deleted. |

Moneys tight, especially from advertising, so there has to be a better revenue stream to stay afloat. Even sites like TechIMo struggle with advertising revenue only - just ask ScottW. | |

I've got spam central Hotmail. I highly doubt MS will change that from a free service to pay

PS - I thought this thread was about killing flies

Microsoft maintains the free Hotmail service as a viable enterprise by economic control of bandwith. If people start sending too much e-mail, they just pi$$ off some hacker, who then deletes it all. Works for them!
FYI, I'd rather sit on a red-hot poker than trust anything to Hotmail.

ROFL vass
If I did 'official' business on my email account, then I doubt I'd have one. A "real" email is so much better (one u get with ISP) ....I just get emails from friends and companies

For myself, I maintain several E-mail addresses. Only one is "public", and that one is Hotmail. I did this so I would have a throw away E-mail that I didn't mind getting spammed.
And Warthog: Using your ISP E-mail publicly just helps the hacker get that much closer to your account...
