I need a medical expert !

For those of you who don't know my surgery story - I posted it below.......

Anyway, for those of you who do - I'm concerned. Last night my purple completely healed scar popped open, and this morning it was swollen, gross, and very painful. I don't know what would cause something that seems completely healed to just come open....
Does anyone know?

Posted on another thread at one point:
I had a surgery over Christmas. The surgeon told me I had a hernia, and needed to go ahead and have the operation the next day. I was in pain, so I believed him. (He's a doctor, of course I trusted him with this!) So, he went in and did the surgery. When I came to, I was told that there was no hernia. They said that there was a cyst however, and that he removed it. I found out that he did NOT send the cyst to a lab to get checked. Two weeks later, I returned to him, because my cut was running, red, and painful. Very infected. He looked at me, and told me I was wasting my time coming to him for that, and handed me a guaze pad and told me that was all I needed. I went home, and was just putting on ointment and cleaning it with peroxide. It got worse. A month later, my husband took me to a doctor that is retired, but is our friend because I was running a 101 degree fever and I didn't want to go the ER. He gave me antibiotics and put me on bed rest. It took two doses of antibiotics to get well. That surgery was over Christmas, and I've just now healed.....
He is a scary example of a surgeon....

No you need a good doctor and maybe a lawyer.

A low grade infection could be why you've been so tired.

Do not hesitate, and if you live in a rural area call a hospital in a bigger town to locate a doctor and don't wait. People die from infections.

I have a very good friend that went to the emergency room with a little infection and within an hour of being there he passed out and was in the hospitals intensive care for three months. He had many operations and we were told several times that he wouldn't live through the night. This all because some infection got into his blood stream and spread throughout his body.

I agree with Surreal. Go to a different doctor and get this taken care of now.

May I give you a few simple words of advice?

GO TO THE DOCTOR

This is the conclusion of this test of the emergency broadcoast system. If this were a real emergency you would have heard instructions....
